Brandy’s Desk

This project is the realization of the perfect integrated working desk for Brandy’s Sherlock-Holmes inspired steampunk-esque office and collection of working office antiques. Originating as a standard American-made pedestal desk, we sought a dark finish that was achieved through a combination of ancient wood preservation techniques and hand waxing. Additional embellishments include brass tacks and metal quatrefoil grate. A matching set of antique skeleton keys and coordinating locks ensures that the desk drawers are secure.

Modern computing needs are facilitated through a fully-integrated laptop docking station contained within desk. Integrated dual monitors are supported via multi-metal fittings that also enclose all related cords and power cables.
